More christmas crafting

Another christmas gift post. I can finally post the head bands that I made for friend's girls. I had a lot of fun making these and choosing fabric from my stash. Really easy to make, and I would agree a lovely idea. One friends girl wondered if they could be made in her schools colour's - uniform has to be one colour apparently.  Anyhow here is the link:Best band ever

CUTE REVERSIBLE APRON

I made this apron for my sister. It's fully reversible, flattering & very cute. Finished within an evening so quite simple. Inspired by pictures of the Emmeline apron I've seen online but I drafted my own pattern that met sis' needs [including large pockets & adjustable straps]. I can reveal it now as she's received it.

Nappy Bag

Thanks to the link on Shelle's blog for this bag. Made with fabric from Ikea, a good weight, and cool colours. I hope that Mo likes the bag. That was the easy part, now I need inspiration for the quilt to go with it. Link to cool diaper bag pattern.

Fairies all over...............

Hi

Here are the pictures of the quilt top that I am making for a one of my collegues little girls- Miss D. She is 6 and loves all things fairy and purple.

Now all I have to do is quilt it!

Bindings will be the dark purple used in the quilt.

Christmas presents...

I've been waiting to post this photo of the gifts I made for the Quiltitis girls. Having finally gotten together, now I can:-) I made each of them a table runner for Christmas with a variety of fabric from my stash - yes, I had way to many Christmas fabrics in my stash!! Simple squares and rectangles - quite quick once I decided what to do. Hopefully they'll get to use them this Christmas season.

Quilting day...

Well, we finally managed to get together for a day of quilting! It has taken much organisation but we did it. I didn't catch photos of the menfolk, but here are the Quiltitis girls and the cute kids. I have to confess I worked on a Christmas dress fo Little Miss rather than a quilt, but Di worked on a beautiful bag - see her post for pictures - and Shelle starting quilting a quilt for her Miss S - who had high expectations of Mum's speediness! You can see Maivili here ironing fabric to cut for her quilt too. Thanks, Girls, for a lovely afternoon.

My first bag

No posts for a long time and then 2 in one night. Here is a picture of the bag that I made today. I still need to add a couple of decorative buttons but it is a functional bag until then. Made using a sweet roll- the 1 1/2" strip rolls from Moda, and some navy blue japanese style fabric that I had bought for my stash. Here is the "recipe" , from the Moda Bakeshop.

Well what a fantastic day of sewing.

I'm going to miss the meets at Shelle's house. However, I can now post the pictures of the quilt journals that I made. We now have no excuse not to keep a record. The pattern is from the moda bakeshop: journal cover pattern. Easy to do.
